I learned the art of creating birch trees at a recent conference hosted by the World Wide Pressed Flower Guild. I used real birch bark and added pieces of other botanicals to make them appear realistic. To depict summertime, I added many strips and cuttings of green and brown leaves and added colorful flowers. The birds were made from banana peel. Wouldn’t it be fun to take a walk through the woods? Botanicals include: birch bark, miscellaneous green, brown and grey leaves, fern, Queen Anne’s lace, Cora bell, forget-me-nots, garlic skin and banana peel.
